Walter, Steven mentioned you often. He was a wonderful husband of 29 years. We enjoyed each other endlessly fishing and taking walks, well me jogging! His smile was contagious. He was so precious to me! Life will never be the same. God bless. Thank you for your condolences.

Steven, I was so proud to have you as a brother in-law. In the 30 year that I knew Steve not once did I ever hear him raise his voice. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, working in his garden,, his dogs, he loved life in general. Most of all he loved spending time sitting on the deck with his wife Ruby and their dog Fergus. Weekend were spent playing with grandchildren whom he loved dearly. You will always live on in my heart dear brother in-law, may you rest in peace.

This is a photo of my grandmother, mother and papa while he was in his final stages of alzheimer’s. Papa was a good man to my grandmother and loved his family dearly. He loved to watch me play sports and I hope I made him proud. We will miss him forever.

Bri, Papa loved with all his heart and so VERY proud! I will never forget the times he went to baseball and basketball games tapping everyone on the shoulder saying, "That's my granddaughter, Brianna. She's good isn't she." He loved you so very much. Nana loves you!

Steve was such a great guy and a very accomplished outdoorsman. We have very much missed his involvement at the Downeast Salmon Federation. He served as President of DSF and in many other roles.

To my best friend and husband. Steven, words cannot say how much I loved you. You were kind, sweet, caring, never raising your voice to me in 30 years! Now, that in itself is a miracle! You were my rock. I could not wait to get home after work to see you. You showed me how to live. We went camping, walking on our trail at our home, and fishing. You tried so hard to make me a fly fishing gal, however, after catching the back of your collar, we stuck to trolling the lakes. I miss you my love!

This is a photo of my Papa and I (his third eldest granddaughter) at my second birthday party in 2008. He never missed a holiday or function. Papa was a reliable, hard working and hard loving man. He took pride in his large family. I am beyond blessed to have the photos I do of him and I to cherish our time together and I am blessed to have the lessons and values that I learned simply by being in his presence. I was once one of his angels and he is now mine. Forever loved and missed.

Ruby, I have so many wonderful memories of growing up with Steven. From exploring tide pools at Kettle Cove to swimming at the “Falls’. He taught me how to tie flies and to fly fish. We listened to our favorite music together. I will miss my brother forever. He is in my heart as you are and I send you my love.
