Gary was my oldest friend. My first friend, really. Most of the things we did for the first time, we did together. He was an all around decent human being and will be missed by many. I am unable to be at the celebration of his life tomorrow, but will have him, Ellen, and all his loved ones and close friends in my thoughts. Rest in peace old friend, Jered Carr

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I knew him for many years as a Code Officer in Augusta and in Belgrade because of my work in the sign business. I also had served on the Augusta Zoning Board and had contact with him that way. And later when we moved to Belgrade, Gary reviewed the plans we turned in for a new home. He was always respectful and worked to help solve any issues, large or small. I truly respected him whenever we dealt with each other. I am truly sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful person.
