Dear Nancy, We lived accross the street from you in Pownal, Maine. We remember in awe watching Allen build that beautiful barn and renovate that lovely brick house. When we moved down the road to North Yarmouth, my husband and I booth thought our 4 year old son was with the other as left for the last time. When we got to our new house we realized that neither of us had him. As we raced back we saw Allen leaning down talking to our crying son. Our son thought we were leaving him at the old house. Allen had seen him crying and walked across the street to console him and reassure him that it must have just been a horrible mistake. To this day my son remembers how nice this neighbor was to him when he was so scared. And of course we were relieved to see our son was not alone. Forever grateful, Helen and Larry Lonegan
