Obituary of Robert Bruce Baker
Robert Bruce Baker, 73, of Epping, NH, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at RiverRidge Center in Kennebunk, ME, following a period of failing health.
Bob was born September 2, 1946, in Dover, NH, the son of George W. and Marion E. (Brewer) Baker and attended Dover schools.
Bob was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1968 to 1970, stationed in West Germany. After his service he earned an Associates in Applied Science Degree and worked as a technician at Janco Electronics in Rollinsford, NH. He was also employed at New Hampshire Controls and Textron Automotive in Dover, NH.
Bob enjoyed playing guitar and writing songs for many years, while entertaining friends at his family camp, Loon Island, on Bow Lake in Strafford, NH.
He is survived by his sister Beverly Rowse of Carolina Shores, NC, and her children, Kerriden Fortin of Marlborough, MA, Paul Magan of Rehoboth, MA, and Jonathan Magan of Charlotte, NC.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, a celebration of Bob’s life will be announced at a later date.
