I was his roommate and classmate of Christy at MAss College of Pharmacy.
We did many things together . He brought me and a friend to the Seafood Festival. He visited me in Clinton,Ma. We studied together and went to events together.
I wish we had gotten together before his passing. I think of him a lot. We had fun times

It has been over 50 years since Kit and I were summer friends in and around Lake Damariscotta before our lives took different directions and we grew apart, but I still look back on those days spent with him, Lynn, Bob and Gail and a bunch of other kids, some from Maine and some from Massachusetts. While I have caught occasional mentions over the intervening years, I had no idea about working with bird rehabilitation. What a great thing to do. I am feeling a great sense of loss, despite our long separation.

Well Kit old friend. Your suffering is over. I'm sad we didn't get to go out to the islands this summer and hunt for arrowhead's. Your Indian artifact collection was amazing. I'll never forget the first time I met you and Lynn at the pub in Camden. I had just got out of the Army and someone at the table said, hey! who wants to go skiing. There were a lot of us that went. I have very fond memories of sitting on your aunt Bettie's front porch and Lynn up in the tree watching the Lobster Festival Parade. I think of those times every time I drive by her house. We had a lot of fun riding our motorcycles together, sailing on my sailboat and the summers spent at your cottage on Damariscotta Lake. I'll never forget the night Blits had the sheriff up a tree. Lot's of great memories. Many more memories that are just between you and me. Thanks for the parting gift God bless you my friend. Cap'n Vern

Chris, you were truly my first friend when I moved to Maine. Working with you at Goodnows will forever live in my heart. Your love of your community, your knowledge and your wicked sense of humor will be missed on this earth. I can still see your enormous smile and hear your contagious laugh and the way you used to say, "OUTRAGEOUS" when we would laugh. My condolences to your whole family. Rest in Peace. Erin

So very sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I had many interactions with him during my time as a medical assistant working in a doctor's office. He always made me smile even on the craziest of days. Thank you Chris!

I miss you my brother. We went to the cabin today, and there by the front door was a giant owl feather. It will forever be a message from you. I never knew I could miss anyone as much as I do you. You have had an outpouring of people coming here to pay tribute to you and share incredible stories about you... and wow we’re you loved..beyond anything you could have imagined. I’m not sure how we go on without you. ... all my love.

I miss you so much my dear brother. Life is not the same without you and your joy for nature and exploration and your love for others. September 1 is a hard day. I don’t know what happened to the tribute I wrote a year ago, it seems to come and go from this site...but it was about your owl friends who are still leaving feathers for us. Love you Chris.
