Where do I start? Arla and I shared so many memories along with our husbands, Jim and Dick, whom she has left us to be with. There are two things that stand out in my mind. The first are our long walks and talks together when our children were in high school in Presque Isle. In Christmas eve we would go to services together at the local Methodist church.
Another thing I remember is how amazingly creative Arla was.,She made woven baskets in the tradition of the Wabenaki. She also knit beautiful intricate Nordic sweaters for her family making up her own patterns.
Above all I will always remember her loyalty, “kindness, and friendship. She will be missed very much.
