Obituary of Jeannette Ellen Frost

Jeannette Ellen "Mammie / Grammy" (Tower) Frost, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 23, 2024, at Pen Bay Medical Center. Born on February 28, 1947, in Eastport, Maine, Jeannette was the daughter of Clifton and Inez Tower. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Sonny, Paul, Deanna, Christine, Joanne, and Harold, and her son David Frost.

Jeannette is survived by her sisters Brenda, Shirley and brother Ronnie, as well as her devoted children: son Douglas and his wife Wanda Frost, daughter Darlene and her husband David Ames, daughter Denise and her husband Patrick Leary, and son Isaac Frost. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Ashley, Douglas, Amanda, Michael, Christopher, Jessica, Shannon, Heather, David, Desiree, Emylee, Kaysee, and Courtney, along with numerous great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Jeannette is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large extended loving family.

Known affectionately as "Mammie" by all friends who knew her, Jeannette was a woman of warmth and kindness. Her love for her family was evident in the countless mittens and blankets she knitted, each stitch a testament to her care and affection. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as going to the Wiscasset Speedway every Saturday night, gardening, picking crab meat, dinners with her sister Brenda, car rides with her family and her dogs Zoey and Rocky.

Jeannette's gentle, free-  spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on her birthday, February 28, 2025, with details to be announced. In honoring her memory, we remember a life well-lived, and a woman deeply loved.
