Obituary of Murielle Angella Christensen

Murielle Angella Christensen, 77 died peacefully on November 15, 2024

Murielle was born in Portland, ME to Remi and Yvette Rioux on July 4, 1947. She attended Portland schools and was always a good student.  She went on to graduate from University of Maine in 1969 with a B.A. in Psychology.

Murielle met the love of her life when she went to a dance that her mother forced her to attend and met Earl Christensen. Murielle would have rather stayed home and read; she always had multiple books going and was well versed. She also spoke French and Spanish fluently. 

Murielle and Earl were married in 1970 and begin their adventure of travel. Earl was enlisted in the Navy and they would visit many countries in their time together. They were stationed in Guam for 4 years and welcomed their son Erick into the world in 1972.    

She held many jobs over five states, usually working in Department of Health and Human Services Offices. 

Earl passed in 2013 and was sadly missed by Murielle. Murielle is survived by her son Erick, her sisters Christiane LeClair and Brigitte Leask. She was predeceased by her sister Astrid Bailey.
