I’ve been trying to find the words to share and nothing can encapsulate how sorry I am for Renee’s loss.
I’m so glad and lucky to be able to say Renee is one of the closest friends I have had, and for the longest time. She’s been a part of my life longer than anyone except my family. She was pure yet subversive, funny, quirky, and loved her friends and those close to her deeply. She was so creative, too – whether it was handmade gifts or pieces she made for Neap Tide Knits, I was always impressed by her talent for crafting.
Our sleepovers in high school and all the memories we have growing up together in the Shakespeare Club are some of the best memories of my whole life.
My heart goes out to everyone whose lives Renee touched – I’m so grateful to have called her a friend and part of me is who I am, because of her. Which means her spirit will be part of me and my story forever.
