Ronald J. Nickerson Obituary

Ronald J. Nickerson, 88, gained his Angel wings Nov. 5, 2024. Ron was born on Feb 20, 1936 in Searsport, Maine, the son of Stanley and Mary Elizabeth Nickerson of Swanville, Maine. Ron owned Swan Lake Grocery. He was a generous business owner who helped many less fortunate families. He worked in construction, on the docks in Searsport and Winter Port, for the Walo County Sheriff's Office and was in the National Guard.


In 1990, Ron Started North Country Seafood which he sold in 1996 to Sandy, who later became his wife.


He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper in both Maine and Arizona.


He leaves behind his wife Sandy, his children, Stephen, Julie, and Mary, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many cousins.


Ron wished for no services. He said, "remember me and all of our happy times together."
