Obituary of Richard Edwin Kilpatrick

Monmouth,ME-Richard "Dickie" E. Kilpatrick, 66, of Monmouth, ME passed away November 5th, 2024 after his three year battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.

Richard was born on February 8th, 1958 to Ralph and Joan Kilpatrick (Durant) of Malden, Massachusetts. He was a graduate of Littleton High School class of 1976. Littleton Massachusetts is where he started his career as a painter and married his first wife Cheryl Kilpatrick (Ethier), and where they had their two children Stacia and Mark Kilpatrick. Dickie moved to Maine in 1996, continued his career as a painting contractor, passed on the trade to his son Mark, and in 2013 had Mark take over the business. Dickie made many friends and acquaintances along the way. He had a love for dogs, enjoyed an ocean view, dining out, joy rides to the Maine coast, twizzlers, oreos, ice cream, watching PGA golf, the Red Sox, and New England Patriots. He battled glioblastoma brain cancer for three years, but was able to see his only three grandchildren come into the world. He was a simple man that will be deeply missed.

He is survived by daughter Stacia Kilpatrick of Phoenix, AZ, his son Mark Kilpatrick, his wife Samantha Kilpatrick (Stufflebeam), and his three grandchildren of Monmouth, ME. He is also survived by his brother Robert, sister-in-law Colleen of Winchendon, MA, brother Michael Kilpatrick, and sister-in-law Amy of Westford, MA, Sister Patti C. Jean of Kittery, ME and his brother-in-law Joseph Knox of Littleton, MA. He is survived by many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.

He is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Joan Kilpatrick, first wife Cherly Ethier, brother-in-law Michael C. Jean, and sister Kathy Knox.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date, no services to be held.
