Obituary of Lynette Ann Smith

Lynette Ann Smith passed away on September 20 th , 2024. Lynette was born in Hartford Connecticut on April 14 th , 1953. She grew up in Deep River, CT where she was raised by her father and mother Brainerd and Elizabeth Smith and she had one brother, Rand Smith.

Lynette attended Southern Connecticut University and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Art Education. Lynette enjoyed teaching youth of all ages in art, English and working with students who had special needs over her 40+ year career. Lynette loved to walk and swim; she also took mission trips to North Carolina, Israel, and Japan.

Lynette loved her family, her cat Blackberry, her church and their congregation at Kingdom Life Church in Oakland Maine. Lynette enjoyed travel and growing as an artist and Christian. She is survived by her two sons John and Justin Gorecki, her two Daughters in laws Jamie and Maranda Gorecki, her five grandchildren Kaleb Gorecki, Aden Gorecki, Caitlin Gorecki, Nicholas Gorecki and Gabriella Gorecki.

Lynette was loved by all who met her and was known for being kind, patient, considerate and thoughtful by those close to her.

Funeral Services are set to take place on October 18 th 2024 at Kingdom Life Church in Oakland, Maine. The funeral will begin at noon followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers please send any donations to Justin Gorecki, 145 Riverside St in Milo, ME to help with funeral costs.
