Obituary of Brian D. Fitzgerald Sr.

Brian D. Fitzgerald Sr., 66, of Rockland, ME, passed away on August 14, 2024. After a long struggle with multiple health issues.

Brian was born December 30, 1957 in Rockland, Maine to Norman + Annie Fitzgerald. Brian graduated from Medomak Valley High School, then joined the Army.

In the year of 1981 Brian and Emily married and had a son, Stephen Dale Fitzgerald. Brian had a big heart when it came to helping people, especially children. That's why he opened an arcade, so kids had a place to go. He enjoyed building things, working on cars, and going out to eat. He worked as a lobsterman, salvage and construction. As his health declined he did retail. 

Brian lived life on his terms. He enjoyed his family and friends, which meant the world to him. He loved playing Santa to the kids. Brian was predeceased by parents Norman and Annie Fitzgerald, Son Brian D. Fitzgerald Jr., daughter Cathy A. Fitzgerald, and foster brother Charles Nolan. He is survived by wife Emily Fitzgerald, son Stephen, brothers Harry and Gary Fitzgerald, sisters Linda Vienneau, Ruth Smith, Wanda Fitzgerald, Wendy Postupak, Grandchildren Adreena, Zachery and Holden, aunt Eva, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Services will be held at gravesite at Post Cemetery, North Warren on August 31, 2024 at 11:00am.
