Noella Marie Hoyt

December 15, 1940 – July 3, 2024

Our beautiful mother, Noella Hoyt, 83, was called home on July 3, 2024 in the presence of her family.  She is predeceased by her parents, Alcide and Marcella (Pelletier) Cyr, her husband, David Keith Hoyt, Sr., and grandson Mitchell Uriah Pelc, sisters Velma Cyr Cale and Maxine Cyr.  Noella was born in Van Buren, Maine, lived in Enfield, CT for many years and resided in Wells, ME for the last 32 years.  She is survived by her son, David Keith Hoyt, Jr. (Michelle), of Stafford Springs, CT; daughters Waneta Marie Mastorakis (Doug) of Holyoke, MA; Laurie Ann Powell (Gordon) of Huntsburg, OH; and Lisa Marie Hoyt (Dani) of Littleton, ME; 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Noella’s strong faith in Jesus guided her in the years following her move north from Connecticut in 1993.  Her religion carried her many times when she needed strength and comfort.   Noella’s passion for gardening was contagious.  Her gorgeous landscapes were full of color and love, each section telling a story that was ever growing and ever changing.  She was a strong, hard-working woman who always took pride in her surroundings, inside and outside.  Friends, neighbors and travelers would often stop by to admire the beauty she’d created.

Services will be held at a later date for the family.  Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
