Obituary of Brett Helge Johnson

Brett H Johnson Sr's soul left us on June 10th with his wife Brenda by his side. He was born on January 22, 1960, in Waterville, the youngest son of Robert S Johnson and Jean P Strout. Brett grew up in Canaan, a true Canaan Cowboy who loved and lived life to the fullest. He was a 1978 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School. 


In 1993 Brett met Brenda his soulmate and were married in 2002.
 

Brett was predeceased by both of his parents and his older brother Scot.


Brett leaves behind his wife Brenda and his dogs Gabi and Helge and Jack the cat. Son Brett Johnson Jr and his daughter Brooklyn and her mom Jessica Merry,  Daughter, Jennifer Goodison and her partner Al along with her two sons, Lance and Kaleb. Daughter Ashley Johnson and her son Logan.  Daughter, Britney Tuttle and her partner William and her daughter Kayla.


Brett also leaves behind his Stepmother Nancy Johnson, his Oldest brother Robert (Butch) Johnson Jr and his wife Gaetone. His sisters Cheryl Johnson and Gaye Johnson. Several nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly. His stepbrother Greg Jewell whom was a part of some of Bretts' greatest memories.  Stepsister Kim Bodwell. And step brothers Scott Smith and Sean Holt.


Brett also leaves behind a great number of lifelong friends he met along his journey and shared some of his greatest memories with...Richard Graf, Steve Dickey, Jeff Rugan, Darryl Swain, Dan Gray, Derek Ellis and so many others

Brett was very fun-loving and humorous with an infectious laugh that will not easily be forgotten, just like his dads.


A special note of gratitude to Hollands Variety Drug Store for being a constant in his later life and whose Customer Service went above and beyond. Thank you! Your kindness is and always will be greatly appreciated.


There will be a celebration of life at his home for family and close friends on Saturday, June 29th at 1 pm
