Launa Jean (McKeen) Harvey went home to be with her Lord on May 1 st, 2024. She had been living in southern Maine for the past few years to be closer to her son. She was born September 29, 1948, the daughter of Lewis and Opal McKeen. She grew up in Bridgewater and graduated from the Aroostook Central Institute. She worked at the Mars Hill pharmacy, was a home health aide, and worked in a few restaurants, but was mostly known as a successful restaurant owner, one in Bridgewater, and one in Mars Hill, Launa’s Kitchen.

Launa was married to Buzz (Lester) Harvey for 53 years. She enjoyed camping, knitting, and spending time with family. She is survived by her son Duane and his wife Debbi-Jo Harvey of Scarborough, three grandsons, Drew (Chelsea), Davis (Alyssa), and Dilan, three great-grandsons, Easton, Brooks, and Isaiah. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly of Mars Hill, niece, Heather (Eldon), nephew, Ryan (Denise), and her special grand nieces Jenna and Bryanne Crouse. Launa was predeceased by her husband, Buzz, and her brother-in-law Stillman Miller.
