Obituary of Dana Louis Martin

Dana L. Martin, 81, of Wiscasset Maine passed away on April 11^th at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.  He was born in February of 1943 in Lynn, Massachusetts to Donald and Margaret Martin and the 3^rd of four children – David, Donald, and Dale. 

Dana graduated from Saugus High School in 1960 and served three years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter crew chief assigned to Korea and Fort Devens and honorably discharged in 1965. He worked as a jet engine testor, pipefitter, machinist, mechanic, security guard, light/heavy equipment operator and light/heavy truck driver.

Dana enjoyed camping, canoeing, mountain climbing, going for rides, cookouts, and loved trucks of all kinds. Most of all he loved being with his family. 

Dana is survived by his loving wife, Norma, his two sons, Dana and Dean, daughters-in-law; Laurie and Sherry, and four grandchildren; Jack, Kyra, Meagan, and Sarina.

Contributions in Dana’s memory may be made to organizations supporting Cancer or Macular Degeneration treatment and research.  A burial service will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt Vernon Road, Section B in Augusta, Maine on May 7^th at 2pm.
