My family became acquainted with Jay over40 years ago through his lovely wife Debbie. I have a memory of him in those early days of how much he seemed to love animals. I had sewn a swan with a Christmas wreath around its neck that would end up being placed at the base of their electric fireplace to adorn it when not in use. Apparently Jay was fond of that stuffed swan from what Debbie would tell me. I was always pleased that it brought him joy.
