Julia G. Dangora (nickname: Julie)
September 6, 1937 – March 4, 2024
Julie passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Sanford, Maine. She was the loving wife of her late husband, Bob, for 52 years. She was the proud mother of her caring daughter, Marian, and her devoted son-in-law, Curry. Her daughter, Marian, deeply misses her parents.
Julie will be remembered by her thoughtful daughter, Linda. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Phil, who is missed dearly. She adored her three grandchildren Dawn, Laura, and Brian. She had six great-grandchildren: Jessica, Joshua, Skylar, Cole, Julia, and Sophia.
Julie was the oldest daughter of her late parents, Bert and Alice. She will be missed greatly by her loving and supportive siblings. Julie was the oldest girl of nine children. She grew up helping her parents with the Florist business in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
She was predeceased by her oldest brother Harold “Harry” and her sister-in-law, Marilyn. She was predeceased by her second oldest brother, William “Billy” and her sister-in-law, Jean. Her loyal and loving sister, Pauline “Polly” will miss her terribly. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Roger. Her faithful brother Herbert “Herb” and sister-in-law Kerry send their love and prayers.
She will be greatly missed by her supportive and loving twin sisters, Ethel and her brother-in-law Raoul “Ray” as well as Ella and her brother-in-law, John. She was predeceased by her second youngest sister, Marion, who we all miss dearly. Her late sister, Marion, and her brother-in-law, Bill were always by her side helping her. She will be missed and remembered by her youngest sister Ruth. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bernard “Bernie”, who is missed by all.
Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed by her friends Paul and Barbara who have known Julie and her late husband, Bob for over 60 years.
Julie will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Julie will be in the thoughts and prayers of many relatives and friends.
Julie enjoyed ice skating, dancing, and music. Her favorite Irish singer was “Daniel O’Donnell”. She enjoyed being a majorette in high school. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years before she retired. She loved to travel.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Stoneham, Mass. When she bought her first house in Wakefield, Mass, she transitioned to First Parish Congregational Church. Then, Julie and Bob retired and moved to Sanford, Maine where they worshiped at the North Parish Congregational Church.
