Dear Pat, I know you are there still watching over everyone just like you did all those years at the National Association of School Nurses. You were the “face of NASN” for so many of us for so many years. Knowing you were from my home state made you even sweeter! How you kept track of so many people and things at conferences was simply miraculous.
Your loving, brave and hardworking family will forever be in my heart. With daughter Sharon continuing your NASN commitment and peeking at your family through their heartfelt movie about challenge and love is still a cherished gift. You were gifted on earth, I can only imagine what God said when you arrived in heaven. Something like, “Oh my, now THIS woman is after my job!”
Love, Sharonlee

You've been with us for a long time, Pat. I remembered you as the prettiest mother in RB! I appreciate you treating me like family and will miss you. God needed another angel. Rest easy.

Despite trying to herd over a 1000 school nurses at every national conference; Pat always had a smile on her face; knew everyone's name; and gently guided everyone to walk away with a wonderful, fun and educational experience. What a gem --- my thoughts are with the entire family, especially Sharon at this time.

My condolences to her family. The years I knew her were through bowling at the Big 20. She ALWAYS made it a blast bowling at the Big 20 all the years she helped out there. She treated you like royalty whether you were a league or open bowler and she especially rocked with the junior bowlers, and of course. she was a heck of a bowler. herself.

Pat was one of my good buddies on Facebook! So many times I meant to tell my Pat , “Let’s go up to Portland to see Pat…I didn’t do it and am heartedly sorry… like so many things we put off and forget about the fact…do it now! We’re planning on a trip up to the Elks Club for Pat’s memorial!!! Pat was a super lady and I always admired her love for family! A wonderful person in now in the hands of our loving lord…save a place for us, Pat!!!

Oh dearest family of Pat. She was so lovable and gave that love to you. She made many people so successful in their ways of life and living. How I loved my ways of communicating with Pat for so many years when she was the leader of NASN and made so many of us her dearest friends. We learned confidentially from her as she worked diligently. She was so proud of her family and loved talking about John and the Elks in every conversation. Jeanne Kiefner

Pat was one of the most amazing women I have ever known. A wife, mother, grandmother, friend, volunteer and so many other things. Once you met Pat, you immediately felt like her friend, and I had that for many, many years. My memories of her are many and I will never forget her. My deepest sympathies and many prayers for you all.
Much love,
Ina

I have very fond memories of my aunt Pat. Too many to mention here. Although I was born and raised in Canada due to my dad,
Pats brother, choosing to leave the U.S to attend university up here and raise a family, it did not stop me from visiting my aunt and her wonderful family south of the border throughout the years. She was the backbone of such a beautiful, loving family. Her, John, and the family were always so accommodating even when I would drop in unannounced with friends as we were passing through. Family is what was most important to aunt Pat and I was glad to be part of her extended family. She will be missed immensely by many of us. R.I.P. my beautiful auntie .

My Aunt Pat was such an amazing person. She was always welcoming, kind, generous, and had a smile that lit up the room. She and my Uncle John always treated me like royalty, and their door was always open to me. She always left a mint on my pillow when I stayed there (except the one time she left me Mint Thins with a note apologizing for being out of mints!). I will miss having coffee with Auntie Pat in the yellow kitchen and at camp. She was funny, smart, and the best hostess ever. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. I am blessed to have been her niece.
