Many memories when I was young spending summers on Dow rd. We’d stop by to visit the family and her laughter did fill a room as we waited for Dan to take us to play soft ball in Stonington.

I remember Nancy not only for her amazing strength of character, but also for the sweetness of it. I didn't meet with her much, but there is one memory that has shone through my life through all of these years. We were invited to their home for dinner, and Nancy served a salad with edible flowers in it. I had NEVER seen such a thing (it was a long time ago) and was immediately enchanted both by the notion and by the person who had introduced it to me.
I also remember her as someone who held the fort for a rambunctious, amazing family, for many, many years.
Love to you all, and I'm honored to have spent at least a little time with Nancy.

I was only 14 when I was in one of Nancy's English classes. She sparked my interest in Shakespeare at such a young age. She was one of the finest teachers I ever had. What I will remember most is her kindness and infectious laugh. My condolences.

We loved meeting Nancy and she taught us the proper way to eat lobster when we first visited Stonington. She then gifted the use of her beautiful home and land to Annabel and our son, Brian for their wedding. She was an amazing lady and we are so blessed to have known her. Love from Doug and Patsy Spring
