I remember very clearly that evening in 1967 when Don visited our house on Vernon St for the very first time. Although he only lived two houses away on nearby Concord St, we were honored to welcome him for a very special reason. He had come at the request of my parents to demonstrate how to study the Bible. It wasn’t long before Don had taught our father, Charlie how to study the Bible with our family. He helped our parents focus on deeper Bible study which helped them progress to dedication and baptism. We are grateful to Don for our long spiritual heritage.
I will be standing in line to welcome Don back in the resurrection; with love from Randy Carbary and family.

We are friends with Andrew & Lisa Tracy. May we all continue to listen closely to Jehovah so that we can one day get to know each other.

I knew of Don for years from the Sawyer family. But I met Don and Linda and spent time with them on a witness Cruise. He helped me through some challenging times at that moment. I will never forget his kindness. it was over 20 years ago but a priceless brother. (Linda and I are both redheads, so of course, we were instant friends! We do speak a different language.) I also know the sawyers, Ann was my roommate years ago. Don will be missed!

This was a lovely Memorial Talk and photo story. It brought back some wonderful memories. Without question Don had a good life, sweetheart of a wife and great children. It’s comforting to us to remember that his life has just been “interrupted” for a bit….we will see him soon. In the meantime he will be missed….
Love to his family.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of Don, he was so full of life and love. I will never forget going in the ministry with him, he always made it eventful and fun. His zeal and love for people were infectious. Of the many memories I have one I will share is how he would wake us up Saturday morning by pounding on the sliding glass door separating our apartment from your house to see if we were going in the ministry that day. Whether we had planned to or not, we usually ended up doing so because of that knock. :) Much love to all. - Jennifer (Unbehaun) Schiermeister - one of the "Dairy Queens"
