Lorna Eileen Plourde

Plourde, Eileen Lorna – (daughter of Nina Mason) passed peacefully at home in Berwick, Maine with her loving family by her side on November 3, 2023, one day before her 98th birthday! Lorna was born in Eagle Lake, Maine, and lived most of her life in Presque Isle, Maine. She was a beautiful, loving, strong, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. her greatest loves were her family, traveling the world, dancing, bingo, senior activities, and being a great friend, of which there were many. she went back to school to earn her realtor license and open a business (century 21) in Presque Isle for many years.

 

Lorna was predeceased by her loving husband Norman Joseph Plourde, and her son Carroll Norman Plourde. her children: Charles Plourde, Sheila Plourde Darling, Beverly Vakalis Plourde, Marcus Plourde, and Tammy Drake Plourde will miss this very special lady until they all meet again! they are comforted in knowing that God is “Holding this angel in the palm of his hands”.

 

A very special thanks to all her friends, family, and York County hospice we can’t say enough about. They were all wonderful and caring. and a special thanks to her granddaughter, Courtney Blackstone who gave so generously of her time to care for her during this final journey!!

 

A celebration of life will be held in Presque Isle in the spring. Arrangments will be announced at a later date.
