Obituary of Janet A. Cunningham

Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Janet Anne Cunningham, age 87, of Medford, Maine passed away on September 30th, 2023 at Breakwater Commons in Rockland, Maine. She was born in North Waldoboro, Maine on February 9, 1936, to the late Roland Grandville Miller and late Evelyn Mae Smith Miller.

Janet spent her days caring for her family and had a passion for growing roses. She could be found outside on an average day tending to her rose bushes and maintaining hummingbird feeders around her home. She loved to sit near her front porch so she could watch the “hummers” go about their work in the sunshine. During hunting season Janet would instigate the competition of who could tag the biggest buck, and she could outfish most people in the summer.

Janet is survived by her sisters Brenda Jackson and her husband Ronnie: Sylvia and David Hart; Janet's children Carol Dumont; Debbie Cunningham; Ty Cunningham; and Dawn Bubar and her husband Randy. Grandchildren Rene Michaud and her husband John, and Greatgrandchild Aidan East; Derek Harvey; Kyle Cunningham; Ashley Saucier; Alan Beaucage and his wife Tiffany, two children; and Tiffany Higgans, three children, as well as many nieces and nephews. Janet is also leaving behind her two long-time friends Richard and Dottie Bell.

Janet was predeceased by three children: Roland Allen Cunningham, Judy Alice Cunningham, and Brad Andrew Cunningham; and Janet’s husband of 32 years Donald Allan Cunningham: her sisters Winona B Johnson and Sharon Piper, as well as many nieces, nephews, also other family members.

Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
