James Ian Young-Snyder

Bucksport formerly of Rockland- James Ian Young Snyder, 52 years, of Bucksport, ME, passed away August 15, 2023,

He was born July 9, 1971, in Augusta, Maine, the son of John and Judy (Shorey) Young.  Attended Rockland District High School class of 1990.  After high school, he enjoyed traveling around to different states and then settling in Bucksport in his last years.  He loved music and playing the guitar, he thought he was the next Bon Jovi.  James enjoyed a hard day's work and was always ready to lend a hand whether it was needed or not.  He enjoyed conversation and talking with family and friends about cars and loved to tell a story.

James was predeceased by his brother John Jr., daughter Somer Snyder, and sister Cindy Robinson.

Survivors include father John Young Sr. and wife Kay Burgess of Thomaston; mother Judy Robinson of Ohio; siblings Alden Young and wife Holly of Camden, Rob Robinson and wife Inga of Waldoboro, Charles Robinson of Rockland, Lilimae Parker of VA, Kris Robinson, Duane Withee and wife Gloria of Union, Theresa Withee and husband Charles Wiedman of Hope, Kara Mallicoate and husband Aaron of KY.; children Harley and Tia Young, Monica, and Randall Snyder and their mother Holly Snyder all of Bangor; grandchildren Cyrus and Logan; niece Taylor and nephew Ryan Young; many aunts uncles and cousins; close support and friend Christine Crabtree.
