Jane Knowles Adcock died peacefully, on the night of July, 14 , 2023. Born Jane Knowles in January, 1929, daughter of Stanley and Janice Knowles, Jane attended Black Mountain College in North Carolina studying humanities with a focus on the arts.

Jane married Bill Madsen, and living in Newton, MA, raised three children, Lee, Scott and Eric.while working on fair housing, counseling at summer camps, screening patients for an allergist, practicing yoga, taking guitar lessons, hosting parties for magician's conferences, and being an active member in the Unitarian Church. She and Bill also traveled the world making films of places they loved.

Jane married George Adcock (Jane has been much beloved by George's daughter Marsha as well as his son George Jr.) and moved to Venice, Florida where she and George loved square dancing! Following George's death, Jane rejoined daughter Lee and son-in-law Vincent, living in Rockland, ME, focusing again on her appreciation for the arts.

Jane moved to Windward Gardens, a couple of years ago recovering from an injury, and was very appreciative of the care she received there.

Nearly always expressing a positive attitude throughout her life, "just Jane" has always been an inspiration and will be dearly missed by generations of family and friends.
