Obituary of David C. Talbot
David C. Talbot, 70, of Thomaston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family from complications of peripheral artery disease. He was born September 28, 1952, to George and Lois Talbot at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
The family settled in Thomaston, where he graduated from Georges Valley High School. After graduating, David served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, which he was extremely proud of. Upon completion he started working for the Maine State Prison in Thomaston, eventually changing jobs and finishing his career at Bath Iron Works before retiring. He then chose to work part-time at Dollar Tree, enjoying the people he worked with and the customers.
David’s first love was his wife Donnalee and his children. His passion was taking care of his family and friends, making sure they never went without. David was an extremely hard worker but made sure to make many happy and memorable memories with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, a good campfire, and cooking.
David leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years Donnalee, his daughter Sara and her son Davis, his son David and his wife Jessie, and their children, Brian, Zeke, Maija, Bradley, Ashton, Archer, Ellie-May, and Jackson, his son Christopher and his wife Sydney and their fur babies Riley and Gwen. He also leaves behind his bonus kids Joey, Brianna, and Jared, sisters Karen and Carol, brother Skip, sister-in-laws Cindi, Jacki, Sharon, and Penny, special friend Teresa, many nieces and nephews, and other friends and family. He also leaves behind his constant companion Bella, his dog. Per his wishes, there will be no service, and the family will inter privately.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Toys for Tots in his name as this was important to him.
