Kathleen J. Bassett Obituary

Kathleen Joan Bassett (Lady K) passed away after a brief illness on June 16, 2023, in Scarborough, ME. Born in Manchester, NH, on January 20, 1947, Kathleen was raised in Nashua, NH and after graduating from Nashua High, began a 30+ year career working mainly for the US Navy Department in Arlington VA and Washington DC. She then returned to fulfill her dream of living in York Beach for most of the remainder of her life. She became well recognized in the southern Maine community for her insightful reviews of live bands, published in the Boston Blues Society magazine. She became a familiar face at many of the local venues, always eager to support her favorite bands and establishments. She truly enjoyed sharing her love of music with her many friends – old and new. She was pre-deceased by her brother Thomas (Tom), and her parents Thomas and Kathleen Bassett; and is survived by her sisterDianne and brother in law Richard Swain of Candia, NH.
