Bernice's radiant spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. She was a beacon of love, exuding warmth and unfaltering faith. Her creative spirit shone brightly in everyday life; her courage inspired us endlessly. Every visit she made to Fort Kent enveloped us in a gentle wave of affection. God designed an angel in her, setting her free from pain into eternal joy with loved ones gone before. Though we mourn her absence, she will dwell forever within our hearts, cherished and never forgotten.

My friend, Bernice. She popped into my office on many a day with either a piece of pie, a piece of salmon, or whatever she had to share. Always with a smile. Little did I know when she came in a couple of weeks ago, that this was the "last time". There's a song by Casting Crowns called "Scars in Heaven". Each time I listen to this song I think of those of my dear family and friends that have passed away in the past two years. Loss can be hard and my prayers go out to you, Craig, Robin & family, & Ben. She loved you all so very much. Much love, Carlene

Bernice was one of the kindest souls I have had the privilege to know. She was the first to reach out to help those in need. You only had to ask. She loved her husband Craig and children Ben and Robin so much. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Her steadfast faith and courage never wavered through her cancer journey. I am honored to be able to call her, friend. She was a bright light in this world and will be so missed. My love and prayers to her family. ❤️

She was all about love, hugs, and trying to help others find joy if even just for a moment… she cared. Also her family was her true joy… she adored her husband and 2 children. She shared much excitement with their successes too, like Ben learning to fly or play a. Guitar with his dad, or when her Robin bought her first car, got married, and had her children… all beautiful to her. Craig, he was her pulse, she loved him dearly, from what he did for work and inspiring creativity around home through his carpentry to gardening to deep conversations.
As her sister, I’ll miss her and our sentimental times over the years at Jasper Beach. We supported each other in many ways even from a distance, little words were needed, we understood each other.
I loved her and still love her… she’s always with me.

Craig, Ben and Robin,
I can totally relate to your pain, having lost both my husband and daughter within a couple of weeks of each other. Bernice was a remarkable woman; there aren't enough adjectives to describe how exceptional she was. Our family has suffered a huge loss. She always had a kind word to say, Sent me countless photos of her beautiful grandchildren that she so loved, pictures of birds knowing my love for birds. She always laughed at my "Bart" stories. I think the biggest kindness she shared was to my daughter Anna. Anna loved her so very much as she did Ben. I cannot grasp the reason that God takes so many if our loved ones. All of you are so blessed to have had the very best wife, mother, grandmother and sister. I send you all my love and prayers. Anna is with her and they are having a great time talking, laughing and above all, watching over all of you with love and sending strength.
