I am so sad to hear of Lisa's death. Her sister, Jean, and were best friends in 10th grade. Lisa, Jean and I sang in the Cincinnati Country Day choir together. I remember her light and beautiful voice that matched her personality. Donn, Richard and Jean, you have my deepest condolences.

Yes. I remember the wonderful Waldorf store Lisa put together at the Bay School and her felting circle for parents. She helped me felt a bunny…so much fun! This is such sad news! My thoughts are with the family. They were all such bright lights in ourBlue Hill community

I first met Lisa when our children were little when we had lots of opportunities to get to know each other- her bright spirit, humor around parenting, and artist abilities became quickly apparent. When I founded Wild Seed Project, Lisa jumped in and helped us with photographs and the production of our magazine Wild Seed and later our Guides to Native Trees, Ground Covers and Shrubs. Lisa helped Wild Seed Project build our photo library of native plants. She had this amazing way of capturing a plants beauty with her photography. I will miss her good cheer and gentle smile, and will always be grateful for her part in the creation of Wild Seed Project.

Lisa is a dear friend. She nurtures with her courage and desire to understand. In college I remember late night conversations with just her and me asking big questions, wanting to understand ourselves and the world (without drugs as I recall), just Lisa's clear-headed bold questions "how do you measure intelligence?" with our earnest desire to understand and willingness to sit with the questions. In our junior year of Bates I was in Spain when a letter from Lisa arrived. I loved receiving Lisa's hand-written, thoughtful letters so I'd find a park bench to be alone and read them. I remember this particular letter had a new topic, a new person. She'd met a guy, Loriman. She described him like her photos, finding what made this person and her shine from being together and by the end of the letter I was smiling, my heart was beating faster.
Lisa is the ultimate friend. She listens so carefully that she hears what's not being said, and is bold enough to say the things that needs to get asked in order to find the truth. I spoke with Lisa right after my mom died, at 58. I was 27. Lisa said something like, "see how she will grow with you." It took me by surprise but she was the right, that brave comment.
I love Lisa. I'm stunned and devastated. Sending love and thinking of you, Loriman, Loriman, Garrison, Caroline and the family.

Joanna and I were saddened to learn of Lisa's passing.
My memories of Lisa were of a bright, outgoing, happy young woman enthusiastically sharing her life's adventures with her family.
We would visit when she visited our folks at Blackstone in Chicago.
I send our warm regards at this difficult time.

Lisa was always class act in too many ways to count. She captivated Loriman from the day they met. It was a passion that never waned and only grew stronger over time. Lisa and Loriman deserved much more time together but be certain that they made every day count and never took for granted how lucky they were to find each other. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Lisa was very special.

I have to believe Lisa was in her happy place here - with a book and a baby! She came to help me out when Cal was born, and it was an incredible gift. She was there for me through so many moments in my life, and I can’t imagine life without her kindness, friendship, and insightful advice.
