Taylor and I were saddened to hear of Frank's death. He and his brother Benjamin have been part of our life in Maine, They built houses for both me and my brother on Bremen Long Island. They were good friends. Few people could tell a story with the kind of flair that Frank exhibited. We have such great memories. Frank leaves a wonderful legacy for all of us.

To Gloria and Family
I am so sorry to read of Frank’s Death. I do not need to go anywhere but in and around my house to think fondly about “The Boys”. I remember a late Summer day when I had the hauled him out of the water in the Flying Passage. Luckily Bill and I were outside in out yard and heard him call. He had fallen out of his boat and the boat was going full-speed in circles. With Frank in the bow, I got us close enough for him to dive into his boat and get it stopped. I told him his dive was a 10 and he stuck the landing.
They did so much for Bill and me and for various members of my family, Riv’s workshop, Pine Island, Our house on Bremen Long Island and Aspinwall Lodge, purchased by my father and eventually owned by my brothers and me before being sold to Gene Albert. I am sure I have missed some of the work done just for my family. My Mother could not have remained on Pine Island as long as she did without Benny and Frank’s assistance, including delivery of the morning paper. She was very fond of both of them. They left their mark on Bremen Maine.

My Heart is truly broken Gloria lori and Debbie my thoughts and prayers are with you all, Frank and Benny taught me alot about life and work ethics I lived working for the boys and will sadly miss frank. Frank was the main reason I worked so hard to become a plumber and oil burner (besides also having a plumber at the time in the family) he pushed me so hard to do what I loved he was always respectful to me even after I left the family I was so honored to call them to my friends and the main reason we named our son Colby after him. I will always remember our boat trips to Bremen long thr long days but mostly I will remember how much they enjoyed life and how much Frank loved his wife Gloria, he used to joke alot how she was the boss in the relationship but how she made him the man he was I no he loved her with all his heart to the end. It makes me happy to no him and Benny are back together raising hell drinking there beer and pounding nails in Heaven (Heaven needs good carpenters also) and they were the best. I love you my old friend and will miss you Frank. Love always Larry Wellman jr

My memories of Corby and Benny go back more then seventy years. We were kids living on Fore Street in Portland when we first became friends. I visited them several times in Mt Vernon on a farm after their family left Portland. Losing contact with them for nearly 50 years and reconnecting with them about 20 years ago. They were such an important part of my growing up and I have so many fond memories. Corby was always the more serious one and kept Benny and I on the straight and narrow. God bless them both.

Colby was such an incredible caring and giving man. He was always there for us when we needed a hand with a house project. He was the best neighbor and friend you could hope for. We loved seeing his gardens every year; he had such a talent. He fought a heroic health battle and never showed how much pain he was in. Colby will be missed greatly.
