Merlyn Leon Faulkner,79, passed away surrounded by his family on December 23, 2022, in Monticello Maine. Merlyn was born June 9, 1943, to Frank and Madeline Faulkner in Monticello where he grew up with his two brothers Philip and Woodrow.

Merlyn joined the Army National Guard when he was 21 years old. He worked for Maine DOT, Houlton Tourist Information Center, and Aroostook County Sheriffs Department all of which he enjoyed as he met new people to talk to every day. Merlyn enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. Santa’s Village in Jefferson, New Hampshire was a favorite that he enjoyed with his children and later with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A place that many of his family have enjoyed for special occasions and birthdays including his 79th.  It will always be lovingly known as “Papa’s Cabin”.
Merlyn was predeceased by many of his special friends. He is survived by a friend of many years Keith Wheeler and two special sons in law Clifford Duff and Joel Bridges.
