Obituary of Darlene Marlene Rosebush

Please share a memory of Darlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Darlene (Haggerty) Rosebush (September 22, 1947-October 29, 2022) passed away peacefully with her children by her side.  Darlene was born in Newton, New Jersey, one of four children of Ray and Helen Haggerty.  She grew up in Stanhope and Netcong, New Jersey.  She loved her home state of NEW JERSEY, loved it, and would always reminisce about her favorite times there.  She enjoyed roller skating with her sister Sharon, teaching Sharon how to drive, and working with Sharon at their first jobs at Dover Handbag in Netcong, NJ.

In 1969, while working at Howmet Corporation in Dover, NJ, she met Bob Rosebush and the rest is history.  They courted (with 3-year-old Wally in tow), married in Netcong, then moved to central Maine.  For the next 40 years Darlene and Bob were inseparable, working very hard and raising their family.  Darlene loved summer trips to Netcong, 4-H with Julie and Robbie, and band concerts with Wally.

Darlene’s passions were her family, New Jersey, and work (if she were writing this with us, we would be kidding that it wouldn’t necessarily be in that order).  She was super devoted and had an incredible work ethic.

Sadly, Bob passed before her in 2008.  Her brother Vance Haggerty of Texas also predeceased her.  Darlene is survived by her sisters, Sharon Daege and husband Bill of Texas and Connie Foster and husband Dennis of Florida; her children, Wally Rosebush and wife Cherie of Tennessee; Julie Ginn and husband Shane of Bucksport; Robert Rosebush of Hampden; grandsons Casey Ginn and wife Lauren of Texas; Jesse Ginn of Bucksport; and Ryan Pierce of Washington; granddaughter Stevie Rosebush of Pennsylvania; and great granddaughter Penelope Ginn of Texas.

Darlene will be cremated and interred with Bob at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bangor, Maine.  Gifts in her memory may be made to the Sussman House at 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, ME  04856.  Memories and condolences may be shared on her triubte.
