Obituary of Peter James Hooker

Peter James Hooker, born April 14, 1973, of Oxford Maine passed away on September 13, 2022 at his
family farm. Peter is the son of Linda Hooker and the late Jim Hooker. He is survived by his two sons
Wyatt and Lucas Hooker, their mother Stephanie Gustavsen and their step-mother, Leah Crandall, his
mother Linda, sister Bethany, twin brother Michael, cousin Greg Dean, various nieces, nephews, cousins
and a lot of good friends.


Peter graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1991 where he was known for his skills on the
basketball court and the soccer field. Pete would also volunteer his time and talent by playing “Taps” at
the funerals of veterans for the local American Legion . Following high school, he graduated from the
University of New Hampshire where he received his BS and MBA in Business Management. He was a
Master Black Belt and Director of Continual Improvement at Fidelity.


Pete had a passion for fly fishing and loved to catch fish with the flies he tied. If you knew Pete, you
knew he did everything to the fullest and always had a good story to tell. He was loved by many and will
be missed immensely.


There will be a gathering for celebration of his life at the Hooker Family Farm in Oxford on Saturday
September 24 from 12 -2 PM. In lieu of flowers Pete asked for people to donate to 1 of 2 foundations:
