Since we are the West Coast cousins (Arthur/Mary Gillespie's "children"), our visits to Maine (Meddybemps & Orono) were very special for us. Will always cherish those trips. Everyone was so welcoming.
My husband & I had a wonderful visit with my Maine cousins in 2009. My sister, Trudy, & I also visited previous to that.
Each visit, Ruth asked us to stay with her at the farm as did cousins Janice & Diddy in Orono & Bunny "at the ranch".
What treasured memories!
Will never forget the wonderful blue berry muffins Joyce brought down for us early one morning. Another cousin, Janice in Orono cooked us Maine baked beans. I remember visiting the farm when I was 18 with my mom. Bessie made us baked beans too. Uncle Robert's favorite, we were told!
