In her younger years loved to go dancing, country music, cross stitch, rug hooking, reading, going to yard sales, craft fairs, shopping, driving around, dining out, birdwatching, talking on the telephone, talking about and watching Nascar races with her son-in-law Steve and visiting with family and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, her son Franklin W. Knight who passed in 2001 and by her siblings, Dale W. Eldridge, Barbara Thompson, and David W. Eldridge.
