Obituary of Donna Ann Henick
Donna Ann Henick (Eby)
Scarborough- Donna Ann Henick (Eby) 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday May
29th, with her family lovingly by her side at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Born into
this world a feisty spirit on Feb 15, 1961, Donna spent her childhood traveling and
living in several places. Eventually landing back in Maine where her roots are, she
attended cosmetology school in Portland and was often the go to stylist in her circle of
friends.
Donna loved spending time on the coast and at the ocean, Popham, Crescent and Fort
Williams being a few of her favorite places. The ocean truly soothed her soul. She was
an excellent cook, and living in Guam, learned how to make the absolute best egg
rolls and Asian cuisine. In years prior, gathering with friends to share her culinary skills
was something she loved to do, as well as volunteering within her community at local
retirement communities and hospitals. Donna affectionately known as Grammy, adored
and cherished her granddaughter Charlotte and the special bond they had. She was a
one-of-a-kind woman with a good soul, she enjoyed the friendships that formed in her
South Portland community and most recently the deep love and admiration for her
partner John.
