Obituary of Myrna Darlene Seavey

Please share a memory of Myrna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Myrna Darlene Seavey, 63, of Westbrook passed away on February 18th at the MMC in Portland, Maine after a brief illness. Myrna was born at EMMC in Bangor, Maine on February 10th 1959, to Anita and Hollis Seavey of Harrington, Maine. Myrna had immense zest for life, a heart of gold and a rare gift of bonding with others by listening, never being judgmental and never tipping her hand to reveal her own problems or life struggles. She worked her entire career serving the public. Early on for patrons of Andy’s and Millside Taverns and for the last 20 years at Dunstan Dental Center in Scarborough as a front desk receptionist. Myrna developed many deep, everlasting and cherished relationships with her staff, patrons and patients. Myrna loved to spend time with family and friends, travel, cook, crack any puzzle, enjoy the Patriots on Sundays and nurture the many orchids she had. Myrna was predeceased by a sister Diane and a brother Harry. She is survived by her parents Anita and Hollis Seavey, her partner and soulmate of nearly 24 years Trey Grace, biological son David, son Jason Burnham, sister Terri and husband Brian Stanwood and her brother Andy. She is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Per Myrna’s wishes there will not be a formal funeral or wake, instead a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts a donation can be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
