DARLENE BARBARA NICKERSON, 81 of Skowhegan, Maine, was called home the morning of October 4th. She was born October 29,1939 in Cornville, Maine to Orrin and Vivian (Crockett) Moody. Darlene married Donald Nickerson in 1959, and they were long-time residents of Norridgewock. Darlene is survived by her husband, Donald, and their three sons, Bruce and wife Lori, Stephen and wife Eileen, Darrin and significant other Donna; her grandchildren, Ashlee Savage and husband John, Bobbi Folsom and husband David, Ryan and wife Katrina; Randi Mae Folsom, Glenn Nickerson and wife Mercedes, Vincent Cook and wife Tiffany and their families; 17 great-grandchildren; her sisters Joyce Watson, Irma Swain and husband Malcolm, Orrinette Spooner, Arline Berube and husband Hector and their families as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Orrin Moody Jr. Darlene was educated in the Skowhegan area schools. She worked in various factories and was a stitcher by trade. After retiring, Darlene continued her trade at home and many have enjoyed her handiwork. A Christian service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Norridgewock, 36 River Road on Sunday, October 17th at 2;00 p.m. followed by a gathering to celebrate Darlene's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Norridgewock in Darlene's memory. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.directcremationofmaine.com.
