Dear Martha, James, Amy, David and Sarah,
Jane was one of our favorite customers in my bookshop in Damariscotta...we loved to see her coming and got caught up having great conversations with her when we should have been attending to work. She was interesting, very funny and took an interest in everything that was going on. After I sold the store, I missed seeing her.
You all must miss her terribly , but I am sure you have many wonderful memories of her and feel lucky to have had such a wonderful mother.
Sincerely,
Susan Porter

Jane will surely be missed. I loved her stories .. The adventures of Mayonnaise. The poke boat.. I had some good times with her.. I took her to the theater to see Mary Poppins. And in Jane's fashion she sang every song from start to finish..She sang " Lets go fly a kite" for days afterward. As her eyesight failed she had no fear climbing down the hill to take a dip in the lake.. One time she was floating with a noodle in the lake singing "Some Enchanted Evening" I have very fond memories of my time spent with Jane.. Sincerely Carolyn Holmes
