Obituary of Robert Joseph Marsilio
Robert Marsilio, 82, of Gardiner passed away unexpectedly after a brief battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Youngtown, Ohio on April 24, 1938, the son of Gaetano (Guy) Marsilio and Lucy Marsilio.
Bob served in the U.S. Airforce from 1961 to 1965 when he was honorably discharged.
Bob loved to do many things such as Sudoku, crossword puzzles, reading and he loved to write poetry. His poetry was amazing and straight from his heart. Most knew him as a quiet, gentle man but he also had a side to him that was quite humorous, if you were lucky enough to see that side.
Most of all he loved his beloved wife Mary. They were married 44 years and since her death in 2015 he has been lost without her. Bob lived to make her happy & give her the love she deserved. They are finally reunited in Heaven once again.
Along with his marriage he became father to her 5 children. As life continued he became Papa to 9 grandchildren & 24 great-grandchildren. "A man leaves his mark in the world through the love he gives his family" and this was Bob.
He was predeceased by his father (Gaetano) Guy, mother Lucy, mother-in-law Bridgette, son Fred & his wife Margie & daughter Glenda, with more awaiting his arrival in heaven.
Bob is survived by his sons Edwin Keith, his wife Tracy, sons Eddie & Matthew and their children of Arizona; Michael Keith, wife Audelia and son Michael of Utah; Steven Keith and fiance Hannah of Maine, and their daughters Mikayla and Mikenzie, and son Steven, and Daniel Marsilio of Utah and his daughter Ciara; daughters Debbie Dawson, and husband Dean of Maine; Christina Nisby and husband Jason of Maine, and their sons Jacob and Zachariah and daughter Alexandria, Stephanie Keith of Maine, and her sons Nathanial and Jonathan.
Bob's sisters Arlene, Shirley, and Cindy; as well as many loving extended family in Arizona; Joshua Twilley and children of Arizona, Robert and Stacy Marsilio and children of Arizona, Douglas and Amy Marsilio and daughters of Utah; Cody and Jennice Dawson and children of Maine.
