Obituary of Charles Judson Howard
Charles Judson Howard, 56 of Union, passed away after a short battle with cancer on August 16, 2020. Born July 8th,1964, and raised by Ma, Adrienne Lachance, and Pa, Judson Howard, of Camden.
Charles, better known as Charlie, attended Camden-Rockport High School, graduating in 1982.
Charles and Karen Tibbetts welcomed their daughter, Jessica, into the world in 1983 and married in 1985. Charles and Karen divorced after two years of marriage, but remained lifelong friends until Karen passed in 1999.
After high school, Charlie was an Emergency Medical Technician with Camden First Aid Association and a volunteer firefighter for Camden. He had a love for cars; whether it was fixing a small problem, building hot rods from the ground up, painting, or just tinkering in the garage. He enjoyed cruising in his hot rod, driving fast, burning tires and raising hell with his buddies.
Charlie had a love for life and was always willing to help anyone, spending time with his numerous friends and loved ones. He enjoyed being on the water in his boat, riding motorcycles, time at camp, dancing, and playing cards. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. His genuine care and concern for others was one of his most admirable traits. Charlie was known for always taking the time to ask about how someone was doing and truly listening to what was going on in their life.
In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his first wife, Karen Tibbetts Wiley.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Jessica Howard, her partner, Andrew Margison and their son Elliot Margison of Gorham; girlfriend, Cheryl Cogger of Damariscotta; siblings, Steven Howard of Thomaston, Brian Lusby, Brigid Duncan, Eileen Routhier, Heather Matte all of Connecticut, and Brendan Lusby of New Hampshire; as well as an abundance of lifelong friends and a number of nieces and nephews.
Due to the restrictions on gatherings, a private funeral will be held this fall. A celebration of life will be planned for next summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html#.
