Obituary of Pauline L. Moody

Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pauline L. (Dunbar) Moody, age 83, of Southwest Harbor, died peacefully on June 12, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born November 9, 1936, in Bar Harbor, Maine to John and Dorothy Dunbar. She married the love of her life, Nick Moody, in February 1957 who preceded her in death in 2014. When their daughters were young, Pauline learned cake decorating. She made the most beautiful, creative cakes for every birthday. One time making Nick an 18-wheeler! She always made the best tuna sandwiches, just ask Lynne’s friends. Pauline enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, and traveling around the country with her family; her pride and joy. She will be remembered as a kind, caring woman who brought a smile to everyone she met. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Pauline is survived by daughter Cheryl Moody and fiancé Jack Gilley, daughter Lynne MacKenzie and son-in-law Colin, grandsons Nick Sayre, Adam Sayre and wife Morgan Gilman, granddaughters Morgan MacKenzie and Bailey MacKenzie; great grandchildren Eli and Savannah Sayre; sisters Gertrude Gascon, Joyce Kenney and brother-in-law Jim; brother Guy Dunbar and sister in law Paula; sisters-in-law Carolyn Dunbar, Peggy Dunbar, and Kathy Moody; many special nieces and nephews, special cousins and friends. She asked that this be short and not “too mushy”; we tried our best Mum! A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
