Obituary of James Robert Bossie

James Bossie 84, of Cross Lake, Maine died on May 30, 2020 at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, Maine. Jim was born in Stockholm, Maine on August 28, 1935, the son of Edwin Bossie and Lucy (Gagnon) Bossie. Jim graduated from Caribou High School. He was married to Doris Bossie on June 19, 1955. Jim will be remembered for his devotion to Doris, his quick wit and friendliness. He is survived by his wife Doris of Cross Lake, children Dennis Bossie of Kasilof, Alaska, grandson Derek and his wife Renee; son Douglas Bossie (Sheila) of Palmer, Alaska and granddaughters Amanda and Casandra; Janice Whitten (Ted) of Fairfax, Vermont, grandchildren Ashley and Bobby; two sisters, Ann Sandstrom of Stockholm, Maine and Sheila Brissette of Brewer, Maine; two brothers, Roger Bossie of Stockholm, Maine and Richard Bossie of Caribou, Maine; a special nephew Brian Brissette, special brothers in law Roger Gagnon and Robert Gagnon and six great grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by his parents, a special daughter in law Debbie Bossie and siblings Peter and Bernice. Private services for the family will be held in accordance with Jim’s wishes.
