Obituary of Warner L. Oakes Jr.

Warner Lawrence “Larry” Oakes Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 29, 2020. Larry was born on July 14,1953 in Millinocket, the son of the late Warner “Red” Oakes Sr. and Ramona (Chasse) Oakes At a young age, Larry lived in New York and attended school until seventh grade. The family returned to Millinocket where he completed his education early to go to work for Great Northern Paper Company. Shortly after, he met Pat and they started their lives together raising their two children. Larry was a devoted father, grandfather, husband, brother, son, uncle and friend. People who knew Larry loved him for his sense of humor, contagious laugh and generous nature. Larry loved to make people laugh, either by teasing or telling a joke, often with adult humor! To pass time Larry loved to spend time with friends, buy and trade, electronics and reload bullets. Larry is survived by his son, Aaron, his wife, Tammy and their two daughters Allessa and Breanne. His daughter Louise and her husband Coleman and their two daughters Brooklyn and Kennedy. His brother Duane and his wife Lynn and their sons Fred and Brian Pasquine. Larry is predeceased by his wife Patricia of 40 years, his parents and his brother Lee. A celebration of life and graveside service as a couple, Pat and Larry together forever. The time will be announced at a later date when we can gather together again.
