Walking the land that Wes preserved in Buckfield will always remind me of his love of nature that he generously shared with all. His dedication to land preservation in a natural state and his support of Androscoggin Land Trust will benefit future generations and are a tribute to his generous nature. I will miss his enthusiasm for conservation.

Marilyn, I wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear about Wes. He was a great man, and awesome neighbor to my family in Buckfield. I witnessed first hand his thoughtfulness toward my sister, and considered you both as friends. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
With Sympathy and friendship,
Pauline (Turner) Aube

So saddened to hear of Wes' passing. Sounds like he lived a full life. My family & I enjoyed watching his goats frolick in the fields at his farm, which will forever be called 'the goat farm' in our family. He was a wonderful neighbor to everyone in "The Darnit" and I hope he is resting easy having good conversations with all the other souls up there.
Sincerely,
Rhonda McAlister Hoyt

I met Wes and Marilyn canoeing Maine rivers with The Nature Conservancy. What a treat it was to paddle wild places with Wes!
Marilyn, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to read of Wes’s passing as I hold fond memories of he and Marilyn as friends in my dental practice. Of the thousands of people who passed through my office over a 35 year period, Wes and Marilyn stand out in my memory as folks I always looked forward to seeing. Th smile, the energy and the love they showed for life was palpable. Good by my friend.

I’m saddened to hear of West’s passing. The thought of seeing him always busy working the farm. A quick wave as I headed into S. Paris on never ending errands. He emanated warmth, humor and honesty. A good neighbor who enriched the soil that he worked upon. He will be missed.
