Obituary of Helen Arlene Reynolds

Helen Arlene (Smith) Reynolds, 84, of 71 Reynolds Road, passed away at home on May 9th surrounded by her family, following several years of declining health. Born May 5, 1925, at Livermore, Maine, Helen was the daughter of the late Edgar and Alena Gladys (Decrow) Smith. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband Frank, her daughter Paula Miron and husband Dan, of Brooks, daughter Margaret Mains and husband Claude (Mac) of Raymond, and daughter Melinda A. Boon and husband Bruce of Brooks. She is predeceased by a special niece Ruth Alena Elwell. Helen is survived by her sister Rita Elwell and nephew Gary F. Elwell of Augusta, six grandchildren: Christopher F. Lizzotte and wife Malisa, of Ludlow, Massachusetts; Robyn Rae Parizo and husband Mike, of Easthampton, Massachusetts; David Mains and wife Jennifer of Raymond; April Bisnette and husband, John, of Raymond; Tanya J. Boudreau and special friend Justin Ward of Winterport; and Daniel Boudreau of Unity. She leaves twelve (12) great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a beloved cousin Angelia Simmons of Brooks. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 pm at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast, on Friday night, May 15. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 16, at 10 am, at the Brooks Congregational Church, UCC, with Rev. Suzie Gowie officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of affection in the form of charitable contributions may be given to the First Congregational Church, UCC, of Brooks, or to the Arthur Jewell Ambulance Service in Brooks.
