She was born in Tremont on November 16, 1924, the daughter of Valeria (Lunt) Davis and Alexander Davis. She lived on Frenchboro for many years. She was very involved in the Church and Historical Society. Lillian loved being at the Museum and telling everyone about the Island. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Lillian is also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Richard, Vincent, and Elmer Davis, Ruby Daigle, Carolyn Daigle and Vivian Lunt. One surviving sister, Rosetta Seavey of Southwest Harbor. Lillian had 4 children: Marilyn (Crossman) Brown Chauvenne, and Paul (Rusty) Crossman ( both predeceased) and two surviving children, George Crossman of Milo and Barbara Sawyer of Frenchboro. Lillian also brought up 3 foster children: Phoebe Horton of Blue Hill, Michael Holland of Bay Side and Lilly Wilson (unable to attend) of Massachusettts. They still are very much a part of the family and we were all at her side in her passing. Lillian had 14 grandchildren; Lisa Dowling, Lynn Twombly of Dover-Foxcroft, Jeannie Hatch of Medford, Tammy Crossman-Turner of Tremont, Jennifer Robinson of Franklin, Chistopher Sawyer of Frenchboro, Corey Sawyer of Bangor, Kim Brown, Steven and Jeffrey Brown all of Florida, Jon Crossman of Bernard, Samantha Hagathy of Tremont, Carrie Betts of Stonington, and Jake Betts of Alaska. She had several great grand-children and nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held August 14 for Lillian Lunt and Vivian Lunt on Frenchboro Island. Those wishing to attend should catch the Gott Boat at the Bass Harbor Ferry Terminal, departing by 8 a.m ( SHARPLY) on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make donations may send to the Frenchboro Historical Society or to the Frenchboro Congregational Church.
