Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
JOHN F. COX, M.D. - August 16, 1935-August 22, 2009 - It is with great sadness the Cox Family announces the passing of Dr. John Fulton Cox on August 22, 2009. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and died at his home in Camden, Maine. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His medical practice both here in Maine and Nova Scotia, Canada was his life’s passion, and the Cox Family would like to thank all of his patients he had over the years for their loyalty and support. Dr. John was a man who prided himself as a professional physician with the ability to express humor in dealing with simple or complex medical issues. His long-time friends and patients understood how he expressed his humor and will be surely missed. He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Geoffrey, Jonathan, Benjamin and wife Jarka (Jaroslava) and grandson, little Alex. They were the loves of his life. He is also survived by a brother, Charles Cox, and sister, Mary Jean Muir, both of Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. The family wishes to thank the many friends for their love and support, especially Bev. We wish to thank Hospice Care of Rockland, Maine, particularly Karl, Richard, Sherri, Regina and Sylvia with their caring assistance that helped ease the burden of care. There will be no service. Donations can be made to the Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice, 170 Pleasant Street, Rockland, ME 04841, the Waldo County Hospital, 118 Northport Avenue, Belfast, ME 04915 or any charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be placed at www.crabielripostafuneralhome.com.
