Obituary of Sally A. Fox

SALLY A. FOX, 58, of Vinalhaven, died October 1, 2009 at a Portland Hospital. She was born in Buffalo, New York on August 5, 1951, the daughter of Alden & Ruth (Beebee) Fox. She was a writer of poems, psalms, some secular music, and children’s stories. She enjoyed singing at the Pleasant River Chapel and Union Church on Vinalhaven. She was pre-deceased by her Mother, Ruth; Father, Alden; and Aunt Elizabeth. She is survived by her former husband of 14 years, Ned Horn; a brother, Bruce Fox of PA.; her nieces and nephews, Harry; Nicholas; Enya; Kayla; and Cora. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 a.m. October 24th at the Pleasant River Chapel of Vinalhaven with Pastor Bob Candage officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to pledge any memorial contributions to Maine Care Dept. of Human Services Augusta, Maine. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, Belfast.
